I guess it’s kind of like modern art. It’s more about what’s behind the image than the actual image itself.

Thats because some people took really good guesses. The damn thing is 55 m illion light years away and literally absorbs light.

That’s part of what’s remarkable about it. Before this image it was nothing but mathematical models. The fact that an actual photograph lines up with those models is amazing.
